On the Rift forums, the first part of State of the Game was posted, a yearly post outlining the game’s updates.
The second part will be coming from Lead Designer, Bill Fisher, with full details of future updates.
Updates 2.2 and 2.3 are hinted to add The Carnival of the Ascended and Dendrome content to Rift. Details of 2.3 remain unknown, but Daglar has teased new carnival games, zone events, Planar Attunement expansion and a handful of PvP updates.
The post also announced that Scott Hartsman will be stepping down from his position.
I wanted to let you know that I’m stepping down from my position here at Trion. It’s been an amazing time, working with some of the best developers anywhere, getting the company’s first game off the ground, taking it all the way through a multitude of amazing updates, then to Storm Legion, and even a little bit beyond.
