Expansive is a site dedicated to the expansion of all games. We’ll look at console, PC and mobile gaming releases from this point forward, offering a variety of content for our readers, including news, reviews, overviews, previews, interviews and opinion pieces.

Expansive is the brainchild of Ray Willmott. Ray has over three years of games journalism experience with work published in The Sun Newspaper, GamesTM, PLAY Magazine, on VG247, Sabotage Times, 148Apps, NowGamer and more.

Donations

Expansive are currently accepting donations for the further growth and development of the site. At present, this site is run and managed during the spare time of its staff. Ideally, we’d like the site to become a fully fledged, central hub for all communication around the expansion and development of games. We’re doing our best right now, but we could definitely be doing better and we certainly could be doing more.

To give you an idea of the things we need funding for, we’ve made a list below.

• Maintenance and site repairs
• Improved hosting with less downtime and greater capacity
• Site redesign for ease of navigation and improved viewing opportunities
• Extra equipment for use with podcasting, vidcasting and live-streaming
• Investment in relevant training to help staff develop and become more aware and effecient

What we’re ultimately building towards …

• An Ad-Free Front Page
• Funding for a full-time member of staff to permanently manage the site.

More will be added to this list over time as we try to improve the overall product.

Donating to Expansive is entirely optional and we’re never going to inflict or enforce anything on our readers that suggests otherwise. That said, if you enjoy the work we’re doing here and think we’re worth a contribution, it will absolutely improve the general output of the site, and many other things as well.

Consulting

Expansive offers consulting on a variety of subjects around video games. The staff on site have a great deal of experience between them and interact with all levels of the gaming industry on a daily basis. We feel this level of experience and the type of information we can provide will be beneficial to many types of people currently working, or aspiring to work, in the video games industry.
