Bayonetta now ported on PC

In a surprise announcement by SEGA, the original Bayonetta was both announced and released for PC users on the same day.

It’s been a long time coming and, seemingly, has been worth the wait as the game runs brilliantly, even on old systems.

Digital Foundry have identified some issues with cutscenes with slowdown, but SEGA have offered an attractive price point and port, with the possibilities of a very exciting mod scene.

The System Requirements are, as follows.

Asus X540LJ-XX001T
Processor Intel® Core i3-4005U (1.7 GHz, 3 MB)
RAM 4GB DDR3L SODIMM
Display 15.6″ LED HD (1366 x 768) 16:9 Gloss
Graphics card Nvidia GeForce GT920M 2GB DDR3

The port offers full Steam Support, including Achievements, Cloud Save, Trading Cards and Big Picture Mode. There’s also an enhanced PC Graphics option for resolutions up to 4k and full English and Japanese voice overs.

If you’ve somehow yet to play this classic, you really, really must.
