Bioshock Infinite DLC revealed: Clash in the Clouds and Burial at Sea

Long-awaited details for the first Bioshock Infinite DLC have finally been released. Rejoice!

2K got the ball rolling with this Infinite quote. ‘What is Columbia if not another arc, for another time?’ – That certainly set the cogs whirring, and now it all makes sense.

Clash in the Clouds is a wave-based combat game and drops players into a free series of challenges that showcase the combat in the game. Here’s the kicker. As we suggested last night, the content is due soon thanks to an arrival of a sudden Steam patch. Well, soon is actually today! Clash in the Clouds is out now!

There will also be a two-pack of narrative DLC which returns players to the sunken city of Rapture! The first piece of content will see players resume the role of Booker DeWitt. The second will see them assume the role of Elizabeth.

Clash in the Clouds will be available for $5 on Steam and Xbox 360. It will hit tomorrow on PS3. It includes four new maps, each with fifteen encounters and challenges.

In addition, by completing all 60 Blue Ribbon challenges, players will unlock exclusives in the Columbian Archeological Society, gaining access to new Voxophones, Kinetoscopes, concept art and more.

And here’s Burial at Sea

Ken Levine, Creative Director at Irrational Games, is excited to see the results..

“We are really excited to offer our fans the content that they have been asking for. With Clash in the Clouds, people get a pure action experience that takes BioShock Infinite combat to its highest challenge and intensity level. With the Burial at Sea episodes, we are building a Rapture-based narrative experience that is almost entirely built from scratch.”

All three pieces of content are available as part of the Season Pass. Both pieces of Burial at Sea content are set to follow Clash in the Clouds before March 2014.
