Daud to be main protagonist in Dishonored’s second DLC

Corvo isn’t the only steel-blade wielding assassin in Dunwall. There’s also Daud, the leader of The Whaler’s and an Empress slayer. Players encounter him throughout the game and Dishonored’s second DLC will be from his perspective. Perhaps even more surprisingly, The Empress, the one Corvo was chosen to protect, will be playable in this DLC.

Bethesda posted the following screenshot on their Twitter:

Players of Dishonored will be familiar with this scene, all be it from another angle. On closer inspection, Corvo and Empress Jessamine Kaldwin are visible along with Emily in their final moments together. Back in October, two story driven DLCs were announced and Daud’s involvement was confirmed in one of them.

“Make your way through new Dunwall locales and discover Daud’s own set of weapons, powers and gadgets in this story-driven campaign. How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome…” read the blog post on Bethblog.

Bethesda also promised more details tomorrow, which will likely include a release date and pricing. However I expect we will have to wait to play it ourselves to see how this story will interact with Corvo’s.

“Paid assassin. Daud. The last thing the… Empress felt was his blade.”
