Dead or Alive 6 Season Pass 1 will definitely break the bank

Dead or Alive 6 is now available, and along with it, the game’s first Season Pass.

As with all Dead or Alive games, there’s a ton of DLC in the works – I mean, they’re labelling this as Season Pass 1 for goodness sakes. Pass 1 will cover the periods of March 2019 through June 2019, giving us gear, costumes and new characters, but the cost is eye-watering.

For a staggering £73.99 – nope, you read that right – you’ll get 62 new costumes, as well as 2 new characters. Which does seem a lot, but it still costs more than a full price game, so eek!

And if that wasn’t bad enough, you may not be getting all the content that releases during that March to June period if the listing on the PS Store is to be believed. It says…

“Downloadable content not included in the list above may be released during the same period, but it will not be covered by this Season Pass 1.”

So, wait, you pay £74 for all of that, but you may not own all the DLC that releases during a four month window so will have to pay even more. Yikes!

The listing does say, however, that the release period is subject to change, which means the window could increase – or even decrease – overtime. I guess we’ll wait and see.

But what exactly are you getting for £73.99? Well, Mai Shiranui is one additional character being added – with a second currently unannounced. Both characters will get their own unique costumes as well.

There’s also the following packs being added.

  • Happy Wedding Costumes Vol.1
  • Happy Wedding Costumes Vol.2
  • Costume Pack Vol.1
  • Costume Pack Vol.2

And if you purchase the Season Pass, you’ll get the following pieces of bonus content.

  • NiCO Technomancer Gear
  • Nyotengu Wrestling Costume

Dead or Alive 6 is certainly shaping up to be a big investment. We’ve just received a code to review, so we’ll be taking a look at the game and letting you know our thoughts very soon.

Will you be purchasing Season Pass 1 for Dead or Alive 6? What are your thoughts on the price point and the possibility of still not owning all the DLC? Let us know.
