The Disney Afternoon Collection brings six classic NES games to current gen

In our ‘shock of the day’, Capcom are delving deep into their archive and bringing back six of their classic platformers from the NES days and porting them onto PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Entitled The Disney Afternoon Collection, players will get to play the original Duck Tales games, as well as the Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers games, Darkwing Duck and Talespin.

Like, wow!

Duck Tales received a remaster about a year and a half back, but this will be the original game in its 8-bit glory. The six titles feature classic 80s and 90s Disney TV characters and have been fully restored with 1080p HD support, as well as options for speed runs, boss rush and time attack modes.

The collection will have a series of filtering options that help to provide a retro look and feel to the collection. There’s also a rewind feature which lets you go back to a previous safe point should you die.

Capcom will also bundle all this with a mini-museum which includes concept art, ads, character art, and music.

It will release digitally for £15.99 on April 18th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One (with a Switch version sure to follow)

We can’t wait to replay some of these.
