Expansive Overview Pikmin 3

HD remakes simply don’t quench the thirst for a brand new instalment of a beloved franchise. Sure, Nintendo tried their best by re-releasing Pikmin 1 and 2 on Wii, making full using of the Wii Remote instead of the standard gamepad, but if we’re all a bit honest none of us were completely satisfied.

Now the wait is finally over. A game originally slated for Wii U launch finally stumbles along towards the end of its first year on sale.

But does it boost interest in Nintendo’s struggling console?

Overview

Pikmin 3 is the finest Wii U release by far. It’s everything fans could want from a sequel but also manages to reinvent the gameplay with some clever new mechanics – such as 3 person puzzles and new types of Pikmin – and interesting, replayable multiplayer modes. On top of that, the Wii U GamePad enhances the experience in dynamic, refreshing new ways.

With Monster Hunter 3, LEGO City Undercover, New Super Mario Brothers U, New Super Luigi U, Earthbound and Zombi U, (let alone all the other exciting eShop content, as well as the Virtual Console) there are plenty of reasons to pick up a Wii U.

It just so happens that Pikmin 3 is delicious, melt-in-your-mouth frosted icing on top of this slow-rising cake. The wait is over and it was totally worth it!
