Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars releases July 17

Far Cry 5’s second expansion, Lost on Mars, finally has a launch date of July 17.

Rather than trudging the frontlines of Vietnam, this time you are being teleported to Mars to fight Arachnids.

As Nick Rye, you have to help out poor old Hurk by mastering alien technology and restoring power to an AI which is actually humanity’s last hope.

Weapons include the Blaster of Disaster, Hellfire and Morphinator. There’s also the Space Jets which let you move around more freely on the planetary surface.

What’s more, by owning the content you can unlock new weapons for the core game, including the Taser Phazer Annihilazer, Nerve Reaper, Grape Popper, Hellfire and Obliteratorrrr.

Mars-themed assets will also be added to Far Cry Arcade.

Ubisoft have also announced that the third and final piece of DLC in the Far Cry 5 Season Pass – Dead Living Zombies – will drop sometime in August.

Hours of Darkness was a bit hit and miss for us, but Lost on Mars definitely looks like it could change the fortunes of the Far Cry 5 Season Pass.

Far Cry 5 is available now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Expect our review on Lost on Mars next week.
