For Honor Closed Beta arrives January 26

Ubisoft are set to kick the year off with another new IP and are giving select players a chance to check it out before launch.

For Honor looks a bit like the old Interplay classic, Die By The Sword and Dark Souls, but it also features Vikings and Samurais. Players duel one another in faction warfare, clashing swords with the greatest warriors across various eras.

In the upcoming closed beta, Ubisoft are set to track multiplayer activity while also rewarding players with exclusives that transfer to the full game.

The game’s combat system is going to the point of scrutiny for most people. Ubisoft are touting something very different and unique, so it’ll be very interesting to see how this has been implemented and whether it works well.

The Closed Beta will run from January 26 to 29th, so I guess we won’t have long to find out. The full game releases on Valentines Day – of all dates.

For now, let this trailer give you a taste of what’s to come.
