June DLC 2016 Release Schedule

[Update 31/05/2016: Added Just Cause 3 Mech Land Assault and Ibuki for Streetfighter V]

Off the back of one of the biggest months for gaming we’ve ever seen, June is surely going to let us catch a breath. Right?

Welllll … mostly. I mean, there’s still some fantastic stuff on the horizon, but at least you won’t have 2 DLC of the Year contenders going head to head in the same month.

At least, we don’t think you will? How about you look below and see for yourself.

Here’s all the confirmed June DLC 2016 as we know it.

Confirmed-stamp

Star Wars Battlefront – Bespin

Date – TBA

Star-Wars-Battlefront-Bespin-DLC

We know the next Battlefront DLC will release next month, though don’t have a definite release date. There are four planned Star Wars: Battlefront DLC expansions – one further DLC in 2016 (the Death Star expansion) – and a final one in 2017.

We already went to the Outer Rim earlier this year, and June’s expansion will take us to the Cloud City.

What we know for sure is that Lando Calrissian and Dengar will be included in the DLC as heroes. There will also be four new maps – not as closed quarters as Outer Rim. We’re also getting new blasters, Star Cards, and a brand new game mode.

You’ll even be able to spend time in a carbonie chamber. And don’t say ‘I know’ as if you knew you’d be able to do that. Lies…

343 have also revealed that the Warzone Firefight mode will be added to Halo 5: Guardians by the end of June.

It includes the much-loved PVE mode, as well as a series of new maps. This one has been in extensive beta-testing, but is finally moving up and is near at hand.

This one will be the biggest free update the game has had to date. It will also be the last one as the free DLC program ends in June, as previously stated.

There will also be further updates to Forge, additional REQs  – such as a Sword Needler Warthog – and more.

It’s an exciting time to play Halo 5. Forge Mode is coming to Windows 10 and you’ll be able to share created content between the two platforms. There’s also a further Hog Wild expansion due, plus further paid expansions in the future.

Sims 4 – Dine Out

Date – June 7th

1908017_0

One piece of content we do have a release date for is the restaraunt focused Sims 4 update, Dine Out.

Coming June 7th, this lets players run their own restaraunt and taste experimental dishes from various different cuisines.

The devs suggest the food options are ‘bizarre and tanatalising’ and if the Sim has the courage to try them, they get various different rewards.

No word on a console release date for The Sims 4, though it wouldn’t be a major surprise to hear more news at E3 in a few weeks.

Gundam Breaker 3 DLC Wave 1

Date – TBA

009-2

The first batch of free content is expected in June and will feature Mobile Suit Additions for Hyaku-Shiki J and Break Dias (Gundam Breaker 3 originals)

Entitled All Day and a Night, you get eight new wardens, eight new prison maps, and eight new plots to build your prison.

If you don’t pre-order the game, you’ll be able to download it for $9.99 at a later date – probably after the game’s digital release on July 1st.

Phoenix Wright – The Turnabout that Crosses Time

Date – June 30th

xPhoenix-Wright-Ace-Attorney-Spirit-of-Justice-404x227.jpg.pagespeed.ic.jMgOh9Bjsz

Japan will be getting some free Phoenix Wright DLC on June 30th! The Turnabout that Crosses Time is a sequel to Spirit of Justice, the new Phoenix Wright game, and is considered a post-game chapter.

This content will be free to download until July 20th, after which point you will need to pay for it.

There’s even an 11 minute trailer which serves as an intro to the post-game chapter, though I’d imagine it’s quite spoiler-heavy if you read Japanese.

We won’t see Spirit of Justice in America or Europe until September. There is currently no word on whether we’ll receive The Turnabout that Crosses Time once the game releases over here. I highly doubt we’ll get it for free, however.

Streetfighter V Story Mode and Ibuki DLC Character

Date – End of June

street_fighter_v_game_pc_capcom_ps4_ryu_hd-wallpaper-1894754

We’ve been waiting on this one for a while, however June seems to be the month for SFV’s extended campaign mode.

This update is said to explain the appearence of current characters and move the Streetfighter story forward.

It has also been confirmed than Ibuki will be the next character to join the Streetfighter ranks and will release alongside the story update at the end of June. Ibuki first appeared in Streetfighter 3 and is known as a mobile, ninja like character who throws bombs and flies through the air for a time.

Yoshinori Ono has also said that Streetfighter is going to receive a wealth of content updates in the months to come, including specific fan feedback.

Guile was added as a fighter in April, with Balrog rumoured to be added before the close of May.

Capcom will also be adding in a fast ‘Versus CPU’ and further unannounced gameplay content for offline players’.

We will find out more at E3.

Minecraft Battle Mini Game

Date – TBA

minecraft-battle-desktop-background

Minecraft: Console Edition is getting a free update in June which will be the start of several updates that add new mini games to the fray.

These will have tailor-made, custom rules which enable players to dive in and have fun in various different ways. The first one is called Battle and will feature three maps. This is a competitive multiplayer mode where players use randomly-generated resources found in chests and combat one another in free-for-all death matches.

You can even spectate games as a bat flying up above.

Battle matches can be played with up to four players in split-screen and eight players online.

Sounds like fun!

8385c26fe83f842b691e834be8051948

You’ve been waiting for this since the game first got announced. And if you’re a PC owner, you’ll get it just before as it hits May 31st. Console gamers have to wait until June 14th. Sorry about that.

The Dark Brotherhood is a major new DLC being released for The Elder Scrolls Online that adds new gameplay changes, improvements and content.

The Game’s crown store has been overhauled and there are also new benefits for ESO Plus.

Oh, and you get an additional character slot. Actually, you can have up to 4 – if you’re willing to pay! 1500 crowns per slot, to be precise.

That’s not all. Players can preview motifs from the Crown Store, there will also be two new hats, expanded crafting inventory available for ESO Plus members. New feature Craft Bags that allow players unlimited number of crafting supplies.

It’s an absolute monster and Zenimax Online still haven’t released all the info.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Season Pass / The Jedi Character Pack

LSWTFA_SeasonPassInfo_final

The game releases June 28th along with the Season Pass and there’s one piece of content which is exclusive if you pick that up.

The Jedi Character Pack will not be available seperately and includes Aayla Secura, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Kit Fisto (Yay!), Luminara Unduli, Mace Windu (Sold!), Plo Koon, Saesee Tiin, and Shaak Ti.

Oh, and this is probably the cheapest Season Pass you’ll ever see at £7.99. A bargain considering the exclusive, as well as four other character packs.

Might-Magic-Heroes-VII-Trial-by-Fire-feature-672x372

The last of two free downloadable content pieces for Might and Magic Heroes VII will release on June 2nd. It includes two original campaigns that take place five years after the events of Might and Magic Heroes VII.

*PHEW* Not a bad month, right? That’s all the June DLC confirmed so far.

rumor

We’ve also caught wind of some June DLC 2016 rumors that we want to share with you.

Please note, none of these have been confirmed for June or any month following it, but we will update the story if these are confirmed in any way.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC 3

Blackops3

The hits keep on coming. Several reports are suggesting that DLC 3 will hit PS4 after E3, with details to be announced at the show.

This is expected to feature 4 new maps as standard, one of which will be a reimagined classic.

Either way, Xbox One and PC owners will have to wait until at least Late July to get their hands on it due to the exclusivity deal Sony has bagged.

Still can’t get my head around that…

GTA V Content – Cunning Stunts

One GTA pack has already been confirmed for June but we may get another.

Cunning Stunts is focused on racing and stunt mechanics, likely adding stunt orientated vehicles and gear. It’s also likely that the Creator Tool is getting updates in this new patch.

No definite word, but don’t be surprised if these show up at some point around / or just after E3

Anything is fair game

It’s E3 month. That means anything and everything could receive an update/additional DLC. You’ve probably read a lot of rumours – and you’re certain to read plenty more.

Your best bet is to stick with us and ride this out because the only thing that’s for sure is that nothing is for sure!
