Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC may appear post launch

Kingdom Hearts 3 won’t release until January 29 2019 but Franchise Director Tetsuya Nomura revealed he wants post-launch content.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will wrap the story of all the games that have come before it, ending the narrative arc set up all those years ago. But in an interview with IGN Nomura said he wants to ‘add to your enjoyment’ of the game and provide something where ‘you could continue to play a little longer than release’

He even provided an example in the interview, suggesting a return of the ‘Fragmentary Passage section’ from Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue.

As of now, however, the aim is to launch Kingdom Hearts 3 and then the team will see what happens as they ‘haven’t really thought of anything in detail yet’.

It was revealed during E3 that Kingdom Hearts would be appearing on Xbox consoles for the very first time with the launch of Kingdom Hearts 3. We also saw the Frozen world premiered for the very first time, as well as new looks at Tangled, Wreck it Ralph and Pirates of the Caribbean.

What kind of DLC would you like to have in Kingdom Hearts 3?
