LEGO Dimensions Year 2 is in full-swing

Rather than release a new game with a brand new Starter Pack, WB have instead introduced Year 2 to LEGO Dimensions, offering new playsets and characters.

As long as you own last years’ LEGO Dimensions game and the Toy pad, you can purchase any of the new packs and continue playing with the base game. What’s more, any expansions purchased in Year 1 will be compatible with Year 2 and all figures can cross over into these new worlds.

In Year 2, we’ll see playsets from old universes like Mission Impossible, Gremlins and A-Team, while also exploring new universes like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Adventure Time.

There’s a Mission Impossible Level Pack on the way, as well as a Harry Potter Team Pack. You’ll also get to explore the worlds of Sonic the Hedgehog, The Goonies, Teen Titans Go, LEGO City Undercover, Knight Rider, The Powerpuff Girls, Beetlejuice and E.T!

Year 2 begins on September 27th with an A-Team Fun Pack, Adventure Time Level Pack, Harry Potter Pack, Mission Impossible Level Pack, Adventure Time Team Pack and Ghostbusters pack.

Three Story Packs have been confirmed for Year 2, including Ghostbusters, Fantastic Beasts, and LEGO Batman the Movie in 2017.

The Ghosbusters Story Pack lets players’ build Zhu’s Chinese Restaraunt and will also come with Abby Yates. Players will also be able to build the Ectozer and The Perfecto.

Battle Arena has also been introduced and depending on which packs you own, you can have themed arenas with different modes and abilities. You can also battle up to three other players on the same console.

LEGO Dimensions continues to evolve and improve with incredible licenses and compelling gameplay. We cannot wait to see how these licenses affect the base game!
