The LEGO Movie Videogame releasing in 2014

A videogame based on the upcoming The LEGO Movie will release in 2014 on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, 3DS and Vita (So everything, basically…)

Players will assume the role of Emmet. He’s an average dude, living an average life in the most average way. However, he is mistakenly identified as someone important and becomes supposedly key to saving the world. Emmet joins a band of strangers as they aim to defeat an evil bad-guy boss-dude intent on world domination.

Tom Stone, Managing Director of Telltale Games is excited to get to work on this…

“We’re thrilled to be able to give kids the joy of reliving Emmet’s adventures in becoming virtual Master Builders with The LEGO® Movie Videogame. Players will be taking on the ultimate mission to save the LEGO world and use their virtual building prowess to build unimaginable sets and creations.”

Different to previous games, players can use LEGO instruction pages to build sets and wield powers. In total, there will be 90 characters inspired by the film and 15 fully-featured levels.

The game is scheduled to release around the same time as the film which is anticipated to be sometime around Summer 2014.
