Metal Gear Survive launches February 22 with pre order bonuses

Konami have given a release date to their next Metal Gear title and announced a bunch of pre order exclusives and bonuses.

Metal Gear Survive releases February 22nd 2018 for £34.99 and will launch on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Metal Gear Survive follows on from the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Players are pulled through a wormhole and must fight to survive in a dangerous world full of biological threats. You’ll need to scavenge materials, fight enemies, and find food and water to survival. The materials will enable you to create buildings, new weapons, and a base camp for crop growing and animal rearing.

It all sounds intriguing, but it’s also well documented that this is the first Metal Gear game to be developed without its creator, Hideo Kojima, who is now working on Death Stranding.

Konami confirmed the pre-order campaign for Metal Gear Survive, indicating those that do will get a Survival Bonus Pack which includes, the following.

  • 4 Gold-plated weapons: Bat, Sledgehammer, Survival Macheter and Survival Spear
  • 4 Metallic survival scarves: Green, Blue, Pink and Silver
  • 2 Gestures: Thumbs Up and Happy
  • Mother Base Nameplate
  • BOXMAN [THE ORANGE] accessory
  • Kabuki face paint
