Regirock, Regice, and Registeel now part of March Field Research in Pokémon Go, new Ditto forms

The Regi trio can now be found in Research Breakthrough Encounters from March 1 through to May 1 in Pokémon Go

They join Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, and Ho-Oh who were previously in boxes, and replace Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. None of the new Regi forms have a chance of being Shiny.

The Regi family were in raids last year, proving to be controversial for some, so this will definitely be welcome news for those who missed out. Of course, the encounters will remain random, so there’s no guarantee you’ll get the Pokémon you want each week, but the odds have certainly increased.

The CP of each Regi form will vary, as follows..

  • Regirock, CP 1227 – 1338
  • Regice, CP 1277 – 1338
  • Registeel, CP 994 – 1048

Niantic have made other updates, including new Ditto forms to increase your chances of getting one in the wild. Paras, Venonaut, and Ladyba now all have a chance of being a Ditto, along with a Zubat, Gulpin, Sentret, Mankey, Whismer, Remoraid, Hoothoot, and Yanma.

With a new Spinda #2 form from the Make 5 Great Curveball Throws in a Row research, new Field Quest rewards, Raid Boss forms, and the announced Treecko Community Day, Pokémon Go is shaping up to have a very busy March!
