Star Trek Bridge Crew DLC adds The Next Generation on May 22

Star Trek Bridge Crew will receive some surprise DLC later this month with the inclusion of the U.S.S Enterprise NCC-1701-D from The Next Generation.

Now available with or without VR, Bridge Crew will enable players to sit in the Captain’s chair once occupied by Jean Luc Picard and fight against Romulan fleets and the anarchistic Borg.

The Ongoing missions mode will be expanded with two additional mission types, being Patrol and Resistance. In Patrol, players can just travel space, facing up to random encounters and adventures. Meanwhile, Resistance Mode will see you evade a Borg Cube, completing various objectives ahead of a final showdown.

There’s also the Operations command role which allows you to focus on the management of your crew. Here, you will assign teams to locations on the ship in order to maximise success.

PS4 and PSVR owners will get Star Trek: Bridge Crew – The Next Generation on May 22nd for £11.99, while PC and HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality players will have to wait until July 21st. However, the expansion will be playable cross-platform across all devices.
