Starcraft II is now Free to Play and has new updates

Starcraft II is now a Free-to-Play game as confirmed at Blizzcon 2017.

This includes full access to the Wings of Liberty single-player campaign and immediate access to all multiplayer units in unranked multiplayer and custom modes.

Additionally, F2P players will get free access to the Ranked Multiplayer ladder if they complete 10 ‘First wins of the day’ in Unranked MP or Versus AI modes.

All Co-op commanders are free up to Level 5 and this includes both Mira Han and Matt Horner who have just been added to the game.

Blizzard isn’t forgetting about its paying customers, though. If you have already purchased Wings of Liberty as of October 31 2017, you can get a free digital copy of Heart of the Swarm absolutely free between November 8 and December 8.

More updates forthcoming.
