Steep 1.04 opens up new Alaska region with branded challenges and tournaments

Steep 1.04 is a brand new free update releasing on February 10th which adds a new region to the game.

There will also be a World Tour Tournament which adds two new challenge types. As part of a monthly tournament series, players will be able to take part in a qualification phase known as ‘Backcountry’ which is a cursed mountain challenge for skiers and snowboarders. Players will need to reach 5000 points before qualifying for the next phase.

The 32 best players in each tournament phase will make it to the finals and compete for Steep credits.

There will also be a new Community Challenge mode where all the best offerings to date will be available to players and gain reputation points. There will also be new challenges from the development team where players can actually go head to head with the developers themselves for high scores.

It all launches February 10th with the first branded challenges which reward players with both reputation and Steep credits. There will be more branded challenges in the Alps region for the game’s second content phase.
