The Witcher 2: 3.3 PC Patch

The Witcher 2 is still being updated and fans of the game will be glad to hear patch 3.3 has just been released.

The Witcher 2 is probably one of my all time favourite games and as you can expect, I was happy to see another patch on the way. Patch 3.3 doesn’t do a whole lot, but what it does do is quite nice indeed. The main focus of the patch is to alter two loved “Signs” that The Witcher has at his disposal. These signs are “Quen” and “Aard” . Here’s how they are altered:

  • Activating a relevant shrine changes Quen into Solar Quen adding a 10% chance for an attacker to be incinerated when hitting Geralt.
  • Activating a relevant shrine changes Aard into Ice Aard adding a 20% chance of freezing opponents hit with the sign.

In addition to the signs being changed, there is also one other small update within the patch, this being:

  • The controller (gamepad/keyboard+mouse) is detected automatically.

All in all, it’s a welcomed patch and I can’t wait to test out the upgraded versions of the Signs. The patch can be downloaded here.
