The Walking Dead A New Frontier premieres December 20

Telltale have worked on some truly great IP over the years and certainly have some great things in the pipeline, but all questions  about their work seem to travel back to The Walking Dead.

On December 20th, all those questions will be answered when the season premiere finally lands. A New Frontier will be another five episode season that goes live on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, iOS, and Android just before Christmas.

You’ll play as brand new central character – Javier – who is trying to deal with the fallout from the zombie outbreak 4 years ago, and find the family he was seperated from. But on his travels he’ll encounter a familiar face to all of us. Someone else who has learned to deal with seperation and sorrow. An older, wiser, and more battle hardened, Clementine.

The world exclusive trailer for the Season will be shown live on stage at The Game Awards on December 1st.

You can tide yourself over until then, though. If you preorder the digital version of Season 3 on Playstation 4 right now, you’ll receive complimentary copies of both The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Walking Dead: Michonne.

Steam users will also be able to save 10% preordering the game by visiting the product page.

Players will also be able to pick up a Season Pass Disc for PS4 and Xbox One on February 7th 2017. This means players will be able to download the new episodes as they become available.

As much as we enjoyed the Michonne mini-series – and hope she finds a way into Season 3 – we can’t wait to see what Clementine does next.

Can it be next month now? It can’t? I guess Batman Episode 4 – which also releases today – will have to tide me over till then.
