Age of Wonders: Planetfall is the latest exciting strategy game published by Paradox Interactive.
With its turn-based sci-fi combat, empire-building and multiple paths to victory, this is shaping up to be yet another awesome new strategy experience.
The question isn’t whether you should buy it, but how you should buy it. We’ve taken a look at the content on offer so you can make an informed choice based on what’s available.
Age of Wonders: Planetfall has a standard edition, but also has a Deluxe Edition with content that can be purchased separately for £9.99
Included in the Deluxe Edition on top of the base content is a Deluxe Theme, a new scenario planet and two cosmetic packs.
The Bravado Bundle Cosmetic Pack gives you a bandana to wear while rebuilding society.
The Spacerpunk Cosmetic Pack, meanwhile, offers a non-conformist sense of style.
Finally, the Infested Worlds Scenario Planet will be added to the game, full of flora and fauna dominated by Kir’ko factions.
Three DLC packs will be available post-launch for Age of Wonders: Planetfall in the game’s Season Pass.
It costs £32.99 and you’ll get an immediate reward of a Season Pass Theme if you grab it on PS4.
As for the content available, not much is known other than a timescale that takes us into Fall 2020.
The first expansion is expected Fall 2019 and will include new Secret Tech, New Campaign Missions, Location Mechanics, and more.
As for the other two expansions, the content is to be determined, but the second expansion isn’t expected until Spring 2020.
