All You Need To Know About Final Fantasy XVI: Editions, DLC, and more

The latest numbered installment in the Final Fantasy franchise is nearly here but there’s some things you need to know before it arrives.

Final Fantasy XVI launches on June 22 on PS5 and brings a vast campaign of content with it, along with a stack of pre order bonuses and extras.

Here’s a breakdown of everything coming to the game on launch day.

Final Fantasy XVI is a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Square Enix are developing and publishing

How many Editions are there?

Four main editions. Standard, Deluxe, Collectors and Digital Deluxe

Will there be DLC?

There’s none currently planned post launch. For launch, however, there’s various pre-order incentives and digital extras.

Anything else we should know?

Final Fantasy XVI is a timed PS5 exclusive, so there’s potential for it to come to other formats eventually. This is an action-focused adventure, with combat difficulty adjusted by the use of various accessories.

Party members are AI driven and the game is not open world unlike Final Fantasy 15.

As with all other previous numbered Final Fantasy games, this does not directly tie in with the other games and is a self-contained adventure.

Standard Editions

The Standard Edition includes the base game as well as several pre-order incentives. These are
