Area DLC delayed for Fighting EX Layer to June or July, may be cancelled entirely

Fighting EX Layer was due to receive a new DLC character at the end of May but now this may not happen at all.

Akira Nishitani, President of Arika, suggested that the character Area was scheduled to release at the end of May.

However, it seems the content needs to be delayed for an undisclosed reason and is currently pencilled in for either June or July.

Nishitani posts an even more concerning quote, however, indicating that ‘I’m not even sure if we can release her or not.’

He did go on to say that ‘It would be very rude to Hikisaka-san if Area didn’t make it into the game’ therefore he promised ‘we have to do our best’

We did get a new screenshot for Area, though, teasing what to expect from a piece of content which may or may not happen.

Fighting EX Layer is out now for PS4 and PC.
