Banjo Kazooie and Dragon Quest Heroes to join Super Smash Bros Ultimate as DLC

Nintendo Direct is always a highlight at E3 and this one had many exciting announcements including confirmation of long-held rumours.

Since early this year, a long held story has been that Dragon Quest XI’s Hero is going to join Smash Bros. The opening trailer of the Direct finally made that official.

Originally showing just the Hero from the upcoming Switch version of Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age, the trailer later went on to show other Dragon Quest Heroes. from DQ 3, 4, and 7.

The Dragon Quest Heroes will be available in the Summer, but Nintendo wasn’t done there with Smash.

Rare finally came home and will be adding Banjo Kazooie to the mix and match beat-em-up. Yep, really!

As Nintendo and Microsoft’s relationship deepens, so we see even more amazing crossovers and collaborations.

Banjo Kazooie will be joining Smash in the Fall. And hopefully, maybe, possibly, Switch owners might get access to the first two adventures again with Rare Replay in the future.

With Joker from Persona already in the game, and two more DLC characters to come, Smash Bros Ultimate is making the case for being the best in series.

What a time to be a gamer!
