The Dust hasn’t settled on Dust: An Elysian Tail

Dust: An Elysian Tail was part of the Xbox Summer of Arcade line-up last year and met critical acclaim. It’s a side-scrolling action/rpg made by one man development team, Humble Hearts.

Six months on, the developer is taking to Facebook to tease us all over again.

A simple update from game creator, Dean Dodrill, via the Humble Hearts Facebook page says…

Today marks the six month anniversary of the launch of Dust:AET on Xbox Live Arcade! I want to thank everyone who has followed me and helped make the game a great success! It’s been an amazing experience, and I have some exciting news to share over the coming month. The dust hasn’t settled yet!

At first, we wondered if the game might get ported to Playstation 3 and Vita, however Microsoft funded the project and it remains an Xbox exclusive. That also rules out Wii U and 3DS.

That, however, does not prevent the possibility of bringing the game to PC/Steam.

Or perhaps it’s something much more. Could we be looking at an expansion pack for the game. The world of Dust is rich enough for expansion, and, indeed, a full-blown sequel.

I guess we’ll find out in a few short weeks.
