Fortnite receives a series of major updates for next-generation consoles

From November 10th, Fortnite will be rolled out for next-gen consoles.

Fortnite will be available at launch for both Xbox Series S l X and PlayStation 5. Updates will include 4K Resolution, running at 60 FPS on both consoles, as well as Dynamic Visuals and Physics.

PlayStation 5 owners will benefit from DualSense compatibility, with Haptic Feedback used on weapons such as the SMG and Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle. Haptic trigger feedback is also in for ranged weapons.

Another PS5 exclusive feature is support of PS5 Activities, enabling you to jump straight into the lobby for Battle Royale from the home menu screen.

Loading times have been slashed for both versions of the game and Split Screen now supports 60 FPS.

Fortnite on next gen consoles supports cross-play between platforms and you can bring your account across with you to keep all progress. There’s also a ton of new content to follow as Epic continue to support the game across all major platforms.
