New Halo FPS confirmed for Xbox One

It was announced on Monday at Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference that a new Halo game was to be released as an Xbox One exclusive, sometime in 2014. Developed by 343 Industries, it has been revealed that the next chapter of the award-winning franchise will run at 60 frames per second, make use of dedicated servers and use Microsoft’s cloud computing infrastructure.

Although it is not clear as to whether it will be a numbered sequel, the game, currently referred to as ‘Halo Xbox One’ will feature the return of Master Chief. The announcement trailer, below, shows Master Chief, dressed in robes and walking through the desert before being ambushed by a colossal mechanical creature that rises from the ground.

The game is set to be released in 2014.
