Sea of Thieves gets two new expansions this year

During the Xbox Conference, it was revealed Sea of Thieves will get two major updates with some big changes.

The updates are entitled Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores, the former releasing in July and the latter in September.

Both will be free updates for the game which will also coincide with a time-limited campaign. Cursed Sails adds skeleton filled ships and Forsaken Shores adds a new area to the game’s map.

There will also be a new ship type – Brigatine – in the Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores adds a rowboat which can navigate a volcanic area.

Sea of Thieves has had 4 million players to date and shows no signs of slowing down.
