Sea of Thieves is getting into the Battle Pass business this week with the first season of the creatively titled ‘Plunder Pass’.

Seasons will be added into the game on a three-month basis and Season One will introduce a new ‘Pirate Renown’ system with 100 levels to whiz through.

There’s also rewards, events, updates, and a unique voyage to take part in throughout the season which will see you collect a ‘lost shipment’.

The Plunder Pass takes advantage of Sea of Thieves new in-game cash store through various cosmetics and items.

However, the Sea of Thieves Twitter account also posted a bit of a tease for the upcoming pass, and some have taken it to mean that there will be merchant stories or perhaps escort missions.

We don’t have much longer to wait as the Plunder Pass releases for Sea of Thieves this Thursday.
