Streets of Rage 4 brings back Battle Mode with retro sprite fighters, releases April 30

It’s been 25 years since a numbered sequel to Streets of Rage but that ends in just a few short weeks.

Streets of Rage 4 is fighting back on April 30, coming to PC, PS4, XO, and Switch, and it’s not coming alone.

The fighter will bring back 12 of your favourite Streets of Rage fighters – in their original pixel form – along with the returning Battle Mode.

The beloved favourite mode from SoR 2 and 3 is here again and offers a multiplayer battle arena to pit fighters from all iterations of the franchise.

There’s eight different arenas and the option of a versus or team mode, letting you pick everyone from retro Blaze Fielding to Adam, and even Skate.

Take a look at some of them in action.

Brought to you by Lizard Cube, Guard Crush Games and Dot Emu, Streets of Rage 4 also features classic soundtracks from the original games.

It’s shaping up to be incredible and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.

Streets of Rage 4 releases April 30 for $24.99 on all available formats.
