The free download period for Piranha Plant DLC has passed and the character can now be purchased on the Nintendo eShop.

Best known for popping out of drainpipes in the Super Mario series, the Piranha Plant is now standing alone as a fighter in Smash Bros Ultimate. Complete with its plant pot.

The plant can jab and flurry, but can also juggle opponents with its powerful, snappy mouth. Piranha Plant is also surprisingly nimble and can twirl in the air to blast his opponent out of bounds.

Piranha Plant is not part of the Fighter’s Pass which will include Joker from Persona and 4 other characters before February 2020. Piranha Plant was previously a bonus for buying Smash Bros Ultimate before the end of January.
