Super Smash Bros. Ultimate adds Fighters Pass

Confirmed during Nintendo Direct yesterday, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will indeed receive DLC post-launch.

Currently only confirmed to add five new fighters and stages, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass will run through February 2020.

Nintendo have yet to confirm who will show up in the Season Pass – though the internet certainly isn’t short of opinions as to who should be involved – but we will find out more in the months ahead.

What we do know is if you purchase the Fighters Pass and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate between November 1 and January 31, you will get Piranha Plant as a full character at no additional charge. Piranha Plant turns into Petey Piranha for his final smash, so he’s definitely going to be one to watch.

The Fighters Pass will retail for $25 and follows Nintendo’s latest pledge to really push on with DLC with their major titles.

With a roster 72 strong already, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate definitely will keep us busy when it launches December 7, 2018 on Switch!
