The Wonderful 101: Remastered is on Kickstarter, being used to fund future DLC

The rumours were true, Platinum Games are working on The Wonderful 101: Remastered and it’s now on Kickstarter.

It’s already been funded, meaning it’s definitely coming to Switch. A Steam stretch goal has also been hit and it seems like it’ll be confirmed for PS4 by the end of the night as well.

As for what the other stretch goals are, it’s anyone’s guess, but perhaps the biggest surprise of all is that the base game is practically finished and will likely ship in April.

The Kickstarter seems to be in place to fund future content, which will be revealed in future stretch goals. In the FAQ, it says ‘help us create a lot of awesome additional content that will be provided later as free DLC to ALL backers when it’s finished.’

There’s also a bunch of really neat backer rewards as well, like artbooks and comics. There’s even a backer reward to get blocked on Twitter by Kamiya if that’s a thing that appeals to you.

What’s more, this is the beginning of a big move from Platinum Games who are working on four major projects. We don’t know if Bayonetta 3 is being classed among them, and their mysterious new website isn’t giving anything away.

Either way, The Wonderful 101 is definitely happening, it’s back soon, and you can back it right now.
