Ubisoft confirm Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as Xbox Series X | S and PS5 launch titles

The Xbox Series and PS5 launch lineups are growing rapidly as Ubisoft have today confirmed two titles available day one.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion will be available on the Xbox Series X | S family of consoles and PlayStation 5, as well as current-gen platforms.

Xbox Series X | S versions of both games will be available from November 10th and both games will launch on the PS5 when that system releases later this year.

AC Valhalla, which has had its release date brought forward, will also launch on current-gen systems the very same day, with Watch Dogs: Legion launching on October 29th.

Targetting the Xbox Series X | S specifically, Ubisoft have revealed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will take advantage of enhanced graphics, with the game running at 60 FPS in full 4K resolution on Xbox Series X.

Both games will also benefit from Xbox Series X | S power by ‘offering higher resolution textures’ and ‘improved shadow quality’ to players, along with ‘clutter density’ on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

They will also benefit from faster loading times, direct storage, and ‘smoother world transversal’.

Watch Dogs: Legion, meanwhile, benefits from ‘Hardware Accelerated Raytracing’.

Both games benefit from Smart Delivery, meaning if you own them on Xbox One, you’ll automatically upgrade to the Xbox Series X | S version when playing on that console. Cross-save is also supported between generations.

Ubisoft Forward will hopefully shed some more light on both games, which airs tomorrow.
