All You Need To Know About The Elder Scrolls Online Blackwood

The next major chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online has been announced and it’s just a few short months away.

This time, you’ll be revisiting familiar areas from Oblivion and taking part in a story set 800 years prior to the events of the game.

While there will be seperate content drops throughout the year, the main chapter lies at the heart of it and here’s all you need to know about the game.

What is Blackwood?

It’s the next major Chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online and follows the likes of Greymoor, Elsweyr, Summerset, and Morrowind. This adds new story, quests, and environments to the game. You will need to own this to play the new story based content.

What are the other DLC drops?

These are seperate and compliment the game’s overarching Gates of Oblivion storyline continuing through 2021 – the main story of which can be found in Blackwood. The first drop is in March called Flames of Ambition, then there will be two more in Q3 and Q4. Owning one of these DLCs will not give you access to the main Blackwood storyline.

TESO will be getting a brand new companion system along with 30 hours of story content, new side quests, missions, dungeons, Oblivion Portal World Events and much more.
