Chrono Trigger is one of the most beloved RPGs of all time but for many Chrono Cross is still a mystery

Excitingly, Square Enix looks set to change that with the announcement that the not-sequel will be getting a full blown remaster across all major platforms on April 7.

Known as the Radical Dreamers Edition, players in Europe will be able to dive into the full experience for the first time, as well as the text-based adventure game – Le Trésor Interdit – which forms the essence of the story.

The remaster includes refined illustrations from the original designer, as well as remastered music from Nobuteru Yuuki, the game’s composer.

Other features include the 3D models converted to HD, a background filter feature, auto-battle and the option to switch enemy encounters offer, the option to switch between the original and updated graphics, and full localization.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition arrives April 7 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam.
