Destiny 2 can now run up to 120fps on both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5

Destiny 2 has received a free next-gen upgrade from today for both Xbox Series S, X, and PlayStation 5.

This upgrades the game to 60FPS in 4K Resolution on both Series X and PlayStation 5, with Xbox Series S owners being able to run the game at 1080p, 60FPS.

What’s more, PVP mode now runs at up to 120FPS on Series X and PlaySation 5 when you venture into the Crucible.

This update follows the recent release of the game’s latest expansion – Beyond Light – and best of all the game is playable between generations within the same console family, with Xbox One and PS4 owners getting the next-gen update for free.

Cross Play is also expected at some point in 2021, with Cross Save now available in the game.

Destiny 2 players currently find themselves within Season of the Hunt, and during this event they can claim an old Destiny favourite from the original game – the Exotic Hand Cannon Hawkmoon.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, and the Xbox family of consoles.
