Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is now available to celebrate 20th Anniversary

Final Fantasy VIII seemed like the forgotten child in the series for many years but today has been given its due.

20 years on from release, Final Fantasy VIII has now been remastered and re-released.

You can pick it up today for £15.99 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Take on the role of Squall, and unite with allies Rinoa, Quistis, Zell and Irvine as you fight against the military nation of Galbadia.

The game has had a pretty big graphical overhaul with newly rendered visuals.

There are also tweaks to the Battle Assist system where you can have maxed out HP and ATB, as well as trigger Limit Breaks at any time.

Additionally, you can turn on No Encounters, allowing you to just play the game with only the story’s event battles.

Finally a 3x Speed Boost which lets you play the game at a faster pace.

And if you do pick up the game on Steam, you’ll get additional functions, like the ability to possess all items, all abilities, GF Max Level, Max Gil, Max Magic, All Limit Breaks and All Cards.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is now available on almost all formats. It’s a classic. Make sure you get it played!
