LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight DLC includes upcoming Mayhem Collection

LEGO Batman is back after many years away and he is swooping in better than ever.

This time with more of a closer take on the classic Arkham Series, as well as more direct inspiration from the films, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is filled with many incredible references and looks to be a blast to play.

As a young Bruce Wayne, learning how to don the cowl and the meaning behind the symbol, players will run through an assortment of Batman’s meanest, biggest and baddest villians, as well as his relationship with the likes of Robin, Commissioner Gordon, Alfred and Batgirl.

Legacy of the Dark Knight will release on May 22, but if you pick up the Deluxe Edition you can play it a full three days early on May 19!

That’s not all, though, as the Deluxe Edition gives you a bunch of other content, both at launch and post. On release, you’ll get the Legacy Collection, which adds 30 items across 3 different packs, the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Batman Beyond Pack and a Party Music Pack.

Each DLC pack adds 7 suits, 1 Batmobile and 5 Batcave customisation props. Sounds great!

The Arkham Trilogy pack, of course, takes direct inspiration from the Arkham games and Batman Beyond is inspired by the previous animated series. While the Party Music Pack offers 7 suits inspired by different music genres, and a Batmobile inspired by an evil, megalomaniac Batman!

As for post launch, a Mayhem Collection is coming in September and is also part of the Deluxe Edition. This will add a new story mission and Mayhem Mode which lets you play as The Joker and Harley Quinn where you can cause chaos on the streets of Gotham with the duo breaking out of Arkham

A Sinister Pack will also release which has as yet unconfirmed content but will likely center a bit around Joker and Harley Quinn.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will release on May 22, with early access beginning May 19 with the Deluxe Edition.
