Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak launches June 30, gets a brand new trailer

The first expansion for Monster Hunter Rise has a date and it’s coming very soon!

In a massive presentation today, it was confirmed Sunbreak will launch on June 30 for both Nintendo Switch and PC and pre-orders have opened from today.

A new trailer also dropped, showing more of the game in action, including the Elgado Outpost hub, some new monsters as well as abilities which unlock after the completion of the base game.

A Deluxe Edition will also offer some bonus content, such as layered armor sets, gestures and unique hairstyles. What’s more if you purchase any version now, you can unlock ‘Loyal Dog’ or ‘Striped Cat’ armor sets for your Palamute and Palico companions in Monster Hunter Rise right now.

Malzeno-inspired Amiibo will also be available at the launch of Sunbreak if you’re playing on Switch.

The expansion takes place following the events of Monster Hunter Rise as your previous successes reach word of a knight from a distant kingdom who is seeking aid.

Of course, it all quickly goes horribly wrong and before you know it, you’re back on the battlefield all over again.

The new trailer looks incredible and we can’t wait to dive back into this brilliant game.
