Mutant Mudds Deluxe Details unleashed

A new Nintendo magazine is already proving to be a Force to be reckoned with. In its debut issue, the magazine has bagged an exclusive and revealed what gamers can expect from Mutant Mudds Deluxe.

As expected, Mutant Mudds Deluxe will retain all of the content found in the 3DS version of the game, including the ‘Grannie Levels’ DLC. On Wii U, however, players will also gain access to 20 new ‘parallel universe’ stages, including variations on existing enemies, as well as new fiends that can’t be hurt with the standard water cannon. These stages will have a ghostly theme, and so ‘ghost shot’ power-ups will be needed to defeat them. These stages can be accessed via the level select hub.

In addition to the HD, these parallel universe stages will bring the level total to 80, making the Mutant Mudds package much more substantial on Wii U compared to any other version of the game.

In an interview with Nintendo Force, Mutant Mudds creator, Jools Watsham, explains why he decided on ‘ghost levels’.

My brain is full of Nintendo thoughts, and I can’t help but be inspired by the amazing games of Nintendo’s past. On a subconscious level the Ghost Houses from Super Mario World must have crept into my mind and spoke to me. I do not have any other explanation for why there are now ghosts in the game! Well, apart from the fact that ghosts are cool and add a nice sense of mystery and mischief.

Is this Deluxe enough for you? Will you be picking up Mutant Mudds on Wii U?
