Paul Dano, Anton Yelchin considered for Warcraft Movie

The big news swirling the web this week is that Colin Farrell has been offered a lead role in the announced World of Warcraft movie & Paula Patton is in advanced stages of negotiations.

However, according to Deadline, a few more names may have been added to the movie shortlist.

Paul Dano, who made himself known in Daniel Day Lewis led ‘There Will Be Blood’ and the recently released ‘Prisoners’ is apparently being considered for a role.

Anton Yelchin, the man known as Chekov in the new Star Trek films,
is also being looked at as a potential casting.

There has also been some suggestion that Vikings lead, Travis Fimmel and TV veteran, Anson Mount, are being considered for roles.

At this stage, nothing has been officially confirmed (and no characters identified for these major stars) but it’s clear momentum is building for Duncan Jones’s vision of Blizzard’s blockbuster hit.

Expect official confirmations as we head closer to the January 13th 2014 shoot date.

World of Warcraft is expected to hit cinemas in 2015, where it will go head to head with the likes of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Superman vs Batman.
