‘Revolutionary’ Gamestop image points to first Black Ops 2 DLC in January

I’d like you to put your hand up if you weren’t expecting DLC for Black Ops 2.

Did you put your hand up?

You’re a moron.

As sure as the sun, the moon and a Coca Cola ‘holiday’ advert, Treyarch & Activision were always going to support the latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise with further map-packs and weapons. Now we have the first details.

It seems Gamestop got a bit trigger-happy with Black Ops 2’s first expansion pack, entitled ‘Revolution’. Originally posted on the official Call of Duty forums, the image (shown below) tells us that the pack will feature five new maps (four for multiplayer, one for zombies) and offer a bonus SMG weapon called Peacekeeper.

Just one other thing. This looks to be a timed Xbox 360 Exclusive when it launches on January 29th 2013.

There’s no word on when PS3, PC and Wii U owners will get a piece of the action. Activision haven’t even confirmed the expansion is in development. Those pictures seem pretty convincing though, don’t they?

With a seemingly diverse range of maps, and a lot of hungry COD fans out there, this is bound to be everything but a horrifying failure for Treyarch.

More news as we get it.
