Sonic Frontiers Content Roadmap through 2023 has been detailed

Sonic Frontiers has brought the blue hedgehog back in the limelight in a huge way.

Now SEGA have revealed they have huge plans ahead for the game going into 2023 with an extensive content roadmap, complete with new playable characters and story.

Beginning December 21, a Christmas themed piece of content will drop which adds a Holiday Cheer Suit to the game for Sonic, as well as providing some festive cheer to the wider Starfall Islands.

While we don’t have dates for further Updates, we now know what they will contain. In Update 1, Photo Mode, Juke Box and new Challenge Modes will be added.

Update 2 celebrates Sonic’s birthday and adds a new Coco and Open Zone Challenge mode.

Finally, Update 3 will introduce new playable characters – the image seemingly hinting at Tails, Amy and Knuckles – as well as an all new story.

Basically, there’s going to be plenty to keep you occupied in the months ahead!

We loved Sonic Frontiers and definitely feel it’s a return to form for Sonic and co. Check out our impressions here.
