Assassin’s Creed Pirates gets first major update

The mobile pirate-em-up from Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed: Pirates has received its first major free update today.

The update gives players a new map, filled with scenic locations. There’s also a new campaign mission, as well as 10 side quests to find treasure and unlock new ships.

The difficulty has also been raised and includes Nassau, the deadliest play area yet. However, the game has also received new defense and dodge mechanics, enabling players to destroy cannonballs as they’re coming towards them, as well as further counterattack possibilities.

There’s also a brand new social feature which enables players to compare their scores and times against their friends as they try to find missing treasure.

The update can be downloaded right now. Pirates is available on iOS and Android devices.
