Unlike Black Ops IIII which has Blackout mode out of the box, you’ll be waiting a little longer for Battlefield 5’s take on Battle Royale, entitled Firestorm.
EA have announced today that the mode, developed partly by Criterion, will be launching in March 2019 and will spearhead a wealth of new content during the Spring of 2019.
This has been revealed by a Battlefield 5 content roadmap which reveals the live service, Tides of War, coming two weeks after the launch of Battlefield 5.
Tides of War will be split up into three chapters – Overture, Lightning Strikes, and Trial By Fire – and each one will provide new additions to gameplay, such as quality of life improvements, new maps, and gadgets.
Overture starts in early December and runs through January, adding the Panzerstorm Map, The Last Tiger, the beginnings of Practice Range, vehicle customisation, as well as weekly events and rewards.
