We know Bioware are working on something big for Mass Effect 3, but we don’t exactly know what it is. Two screenshots were put out in the open through Twitter, but that’s as far as we’ve got.
Thanks to a few data-miners, however, information has come tumbling down around us.
The latest patch for Mass Effect 3 has been scrutinised with a fine-tooth comb and it appears the upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC will be called ‘Reckoning’.
Surprisingly, the DLC will be multiplayer focused, but will take data from a player’s single-player campaign, such as progress and Paragon/Renegade levels.
There is a possibility that the DLC could see players team together to take part in the major battles of the campaign. While this isn’t confirmed, a leaked description on the Xbox Live Marketplace definitely reinforces that theory.
It reads…
‘The day of reckoning is nigh! The Reckoning Multiplayer expansion brings six new never before seen co-op story missions to the game and new co-op gameplay modes. It provides four new maps to conquer and hazard variations of the Earth maps.’
‘It also enables reinforcement packs that offer new kits for the salarians, krogans, humans and volus. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons (Chakram Launcher, Blood Pack Punisher and Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle).
A full reveal of the content pack is expected shortly, and we imagine that it will be arriving for release in the next few weeks.
You’re not done yet, Shepard.
