Klei has announced new single-player DLC for Don’t Starve in seemingly Shakespearean form.
At this stage, we only have a short trailer to go from, but the official blurb tells us the following.
In Don’t Starve: Hamlet, Wilson discovers a lost town of aristocratic Pigmen nestled within a foreboding tropical jungle. Reacquaint to city life with pig shops, houses, new items, biomes and more, or delve into the ancient pig ruins and try your hand at treasure hunting in this new single player expansion.
Klei have also teased some bushwacking and tomb raiding and that it will arrive sometime in Q1/Q2 of 2018.
In the more immediate future, however, there is going to be a massive Shipwrecked Content Update completely free.
You can test the changes now by changing your Steam branch to beta with the password ‘shipwreckedbeta’
Among other things the update will add Crockodogs, Tar, Cormorants, and new tropical fish, as well as new craftables.
Finally, Don’t Starve Together: The Forge will add a series of limited-time play modes to the game. Events will be free for everyone to check out and include 6 player co-op challenges, new creatures and bosses, weapons, armor, and character traits.
Sounds fun!
