Dragon Quest I and II HD-2D Remakes have save file and pre-purchase bonuses

With Square re-releasing the classic Dragon Quest 3 in full HD remake form last year, now they’re back again with the originals.

Dragon Quest I and II HD-2D Remakes launch this week on October 30 on PC, PS, Switch and Xbox and the good news is if you played Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, there’s some save file bonuses to benefit from.

In Dragon Quest I, you’ll get one dog suit and Dragon Quest II will give you one Cat Suit just for playing the game in the Marvellous Makeover Kits.

The good news is you can also play DQ3 after playing DQ1 and 2 and be eligible for these rewards and your save data must be tied to the same account you play all the games on.

Pre-purchasing the digital version of the game will also give you a ‘trouble-free travel kit’ for free and it includes…

  • One pair of elevating shoes
  • Three seeds of strength
  • Three seeds of defence
  • Three seeds of agility
  • Three seeds of life
  • Three seeds of magic

All of these can be obtained by just playing through the game over time, opening chest at the Inn in Tantegel in DQ1 and the chest in the inn at Midenhall in DQ2.

Dragon Quest I and II HD-2D Remake launches October 30 on PC, PS, Xbox, and Switch.
